Second Year of Projects Week 29

I'm pretty happy today, because the house is tidy, the laundry is on, I don't have any work to do, and I'm planning to spend the afternoon re watching Dr Who and knitting. I'm really looking forward to it.

This week, I've finished one of my Octarine Socks, and am well on the way with the other. They fit perfectly, and  I'm really pleased with them. They are small enough that when I put them on, the lace really pops, but not so small that they're tight around the none lacy bits. And this is the first time that I've knitted a heel flap and gusset heel and not had holes at the top of the heel flap, so even better!

I'm off to sit under a blanket on my sofa now, and relax! Sleepy Sundays are the best, hope you all have a good day.

  1. That first sock looks awesome. Can we see a pic on your foot next? As you say, the pattern really pops when they're worn.

Just be careful when you wash them - they're too pretty not to take every measure to baby them :)

  5. Mmmm....hours of Doctor Who :) Love the socks. We're not doing much today. Husband has been sick so we're watching Shaun the Sheep and playing with toys. Oh, and Husband applied for a home loan this morning.

  6. That sounds like a pretty perfect sunday to me! I've spent the afternoon watching cheesy films under a blanket with a head cold.....I'd have preferred to be more with it, with less sneezing, but the rest has been lovely!

Your sock looks great, lovely pattern and colour.

    Have a great week.

  7. Love that sock pattern and the color too! I meant to sit and watch football today but here it is supper time and I haven't sat down or done any needlework! But tonight Downton Abbey is on and that will get me to sit for sure! LOL! Hope you enjoyed your day!

  9. Oh so pretty! You sock knitter are really putting the peer pressure on me to get to learning. I hope your Sunday afternoon was all you had hoped. We have been a bit on the run all day, but I am looking forward to Downton in a couple of hours! You can be sure I will be knitting then.

  10. Enjoy the down time...it's generally hard to come by and keeps us all refreshed when we get it! Something about Sundays that draws people to the couch with a blanket for a good snuggle!
