Year of Projects Week 32

This is getting to be a bit repetitive now, but still working on the boy's scarf. I've attached balls 7 & 8 and it's definitely over half way there!
So here's my attempt at an artistic picture of a mostly black double knit scarf. It's now at 55 inches, and with 8 rows to an inch, and 110 stitches per row, that makes about 48,400 stitches so far. So I'm pretty impressed at how much I've done, even if it is taking forever, since it's like knitting the entire scarf in k1 p1 rib, but with 2 balls of yarn instead of one.

I've got the rest of the yarn I need now, so I'll just keep plugging along until it's finished. I've been focusing on this entirely because I can't wait for it to be done!

    Oh dear--I applaud you for sticking with it! I think you should throw yourself a party when finished--or better yet, the boy can! ;)

    It looks really gorgeous but I can see why you just want it done and I think you certinly need to have a major me treat when its done.

    The last half of a scarf or a blanket are always a tough slog! Sometimes just getting done is the best motivation. You definitely need a reward when you finish!

    Do you find th black hard to work with....it's going to be all worth it when you're done....and I think your pic is very artistic!

    I've heard double knitting takes awhile since it's like two in one. And wow, black? That is one color hard for me to see. You go! My gosh it will be super warm and cozy.

    Haha, it is so tough to make anything black look great in a photo without fancy photo equipment. I love your artful photo styling :).
