I'm rehashing an old, and not very good picture here, since I forgot to take one when it was still daylight! I've been working on the Warhammer scarf for my boyfriend, and I have to say, it's quite dull. It's almost entirely black double knitting on 3.5mm needles... So it takes a very long time, having to move the yarn after each stitch. But it'll be warm and it's relaxing to do.
I also moved all my stuff into my new house today, so I might disappear for a while at the end of next week, as I don't know when I'll get internet again!
It looks gray vs black, but guys like solid colors like that. Not sure what you mean when you say double knitting?
ReplyDeleteDouble knitting is about as slow and tedious as it gets, but slow and steady wins the race. Good luck with the move. Make sure you have one box with essentials to unpack first - toilet paper, soap, coffee and snacks!
ReplyDeleteSometime mindless knitting is a blessing. Especially with your move coming up.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about long scarf projects ... but as you say, it will be lovely and warm and its looking great. Good luck with the move.
ReplyDeleteUnderstandable on long tasks like scarves, but I think it will be very warm when its done.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with moving, hope your not away from the internet too long :)
Excuse my ignorance of Warhammer, but what makes it a Warhammer scarf? The mindless projects are my favorite for when I'm watching TV.
ReplyDeleteI agree with others saying that sometimes when you have something you don't have to concentrate too hard on it can be very relaxing, especially when you are moving. Don't forget to put your project in your easily unpack able essentials box!
ReplyDeleteOh, scarves bore me to tears! Good luck. It will certainly be warm! My husband also wants everything in greys and blacks. I don't knit for him much... :)
ReplyDeleteThat is pure love and dedication to double knit a scarf for your man. Hope he knows how much work it is. You go.
